Marketing Communications Specialist

The Marketing Communications Specialist provides marketing support to the Hydro Systems sales team by being a liaison with stakeholders including customers, colleagues, and suppliers.



  • Identifies and initiates advertising and marketing opportunities and monitors their success.
  • Writes and proofreads copy for a wide variety of media.
  • Manages the efficient production and effective distribution of marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and web content.
  • Primary point of contact for internal customers initiating work or checking the status of projects already in progress.
  • Maintains and updates customer information.
  • Monitors competitor and industry activity.
  • May produce photos and videos as needed.
  • Hands-on involvement in a variety of marketing logistics, including event production through booth scheduling and shipping, collateral coordination and premium ordering.
  • Responsible for tracking all invoices and expenses against budget.
  • May staff trade shows and promotional events as needed.
  • Other duties as required.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe CS Software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Three years of experience as a marketing coordinator for an advertising or PR agency or a large company with multiple concurrent projects.
  • Must be fluent in English. Multilingual abilities preferred.
  • Requires self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner when dealing with the public.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, informal environment.
